RBD TURBINE
On this project, I am responsible for all parts except for modeling. This includes the RBD FX simulation as well as the texturing, lighting, and compositing.
This shot was my intro into Houdini’s RBDs, utilizing predominately VEX inside DOPs to drive the Rigid Body Dynamics.
For the look development, it involves a procedurally built material utilizing the Redshift Material Builder, leveraging various noises.
This project was simulated fully in Houdini, rendered in Redshift, and composited in Nuke.
I enjoyed the vast challenges of this project as well as my intro to RBDs inside Houdini DOPs.
