For this project, it was a large collaboration, not just with my team from SCAD, but also mentors from Harbor Picture Company. I spearheaded the lighting and look development.

This project involved taking creating a luxury commercial of a product of out choice.

For our lighting and look development, I build a pipeline within Houdini’s Karma, allowing for numerous render layers and even deepEXRs which allowed for deeper compositing in the defocus.

My part of this project was done in Houdini and rendering was done in Karma.

This collaboration had many of challenges, mainly with render times and crashing issues. But as the project progressed, we were able to problem solve and I am very proud of this result.
